Mentorship & Scholarship

B.L.A.C. proudly offers a Mentoring & Scholarship Program

for singers at 2 levels: 

 

1. Singers currently in University at the Senior or Graduate level. 

 B.L.A.C. aims to help supplement the student’s training and growth. 

•  1-on-1 mentoring with industry professionals

•  Access to rehearsals/events if the student is in a city where B.L.A.C. affiliates are working or can be arranged with colleagues 

•  Financial support for approved career related expenses

•  Audition Preparation consultation.

•  Invitation to all B.L.A.C. events at no cost

•  Invitations to participate in masterclasses 

•  Voice lessons/coachings with B.L.A.C. affiliates, in person or over Zoom

2. Young Artist Level:

B.L.A.C. recognizes artists transitioning out of Young Artist program or up-to 3 years post Young Artist program, and that this is a crucial point in an artist’s future success. Leaving the structure provided by a Young Artist program, many singers face various roadblocks at this stage, including but not limited to singers who faced setbacks during the industry shutdown due to the global pandemic.  

B.L.A.C. Offers:

• 1-on-1 mentoring with industry professionals 

• Career counseling

• Financial support for career related expenses  

• Accountability network 

• Access to B.L.A.C. Affiliates/ Networking

• Invitation to all B.L.A.C. events at no cost

• Voice lessons /coachings with B.L.A.C. affiliates, in person or over Zoom

• Access to rehearsal/events (if convenient) if B.L.A.C. affiliate is engaged in the same city as mentee 

• Performing opportunities
